MIGHTYFOOLS

BIOGRAPHY

Andy Samin and Jelle Keizer took '90s rave influences and flipped them with jacked up beats, bleeps and basslines, bringing a resonate boom to the music world. Using choppy tangles of sound, the duo known as Mightyfools embraces a forward house sound that keeps audiences guessing right up the next breakdown.

Sharing a common interest in crossover, musical genres, Mightyfools entered the underground electronic scene courtesy of a few mix tapes.

Samin, who leaned toward acoustic sounds, quickly began working as a producer and DJing straight house music. Keizer, who opted toward happy hardcore, bought his first set of tables at 14 and started producing on the techno tip by age 15. As Keizer's catalogue of techno tracks grew over the next few years, Samin began to take notice. Even after their first meeting, the two instantly connected, melding their influences of house and techno into one twisty sound of crunk, fidget, hiphop, electro and rock that set floors off.

Since then, Mightyfools have been artistically inseparable, producing and performing across their native Netherlands, and now they spread to the UK, Belgium, France and even to the other side of the world, Australia. The duo has done remix work for the likes of Kelevra, Calvertron, Bryan Cox, Oh Snap, Sound Of Stereo, DJ Rockid and more.

"We add our own chopped and jacked up style to everything we get our hands on." The Fools say. Their recent top selling EP's on Venga Digital and Potty Mouth Music include remixes by Lee Mortimer, AC Slater, HeavyFeet and more.

With their tracks appearing on Potty Mouth Music, Venga Digital and Crux Records, Mightyfools have also garnered the attention of Laidback Luke, Kissy Sellout, Will Bailey and fellow Potty Mouth Music labelmates, HiJack and Crookers. Their Kelis Milkshake remix continues generating dance floor buzz among fidget house artists.

As for their name? Keizer says it comes from their ability to work over crowds one party at a time. The Mightyfools are Mighty on the decks and Fools for the music.

These two pioneers who made the Dutch Fidget scene take of to a next level with broad producing skills, highly energetic djsets and vivid fidget partying, have just started to realize that they have drawn everyone’s attention. Interviews in magazines as Code, Reload, ManMaleMacho etc as well as their sales scores at Beatport and their 4th spot in the House charts with their remix for Chris James and Lee Dearn for the legendary Potty Mouth Music, and on top of all this their no 1 spot in the Hypem charts, is just a demonstration of what these young music fools are capable of. Stay tuned.
