The Walk and Rogerseventytwo are two DJs who have been inspired by the early Parisian scene where it all started with bands like Daft Punk, Mr. Oizo and Cassius. Now, over a decade later, new names took over the scene like Justice, SebastiaAn and Breakbot. Besides all those Parisian party chrashers dont be surprised if the Walk and Rogerseventytwo bring you some old French House (from Alan Braxe to Thomas Bangalter and back to Antoine Clamaran), German Electro (Boys Noize, Smith N Hack etc), or even Michael Jackson. 

With a friendship that has already lasted over ten years and a similar taste in music The Walk and Rogerseventytwo started to work together in the summer of 2004. Wasn’t that the time the DJ scene needed a new boost with a new sound? Yes indeed! And those two were ready for it. With great support of captain Joost van Bellen they performed twice with Uffie and Feadz at Hollands filthiest party Rauw where they soon became residents and began to plot their world domination. Soon gigs were pouring in from the Netherlands, (Paradiso with Justice and Gildas from Kitsune label), the Tjech Republic (Plastique), Paris (Elegangz) and London on the Tiger Trax Label night. Since then the list of their international gigs has grown and grown. 

2007 was the year that their baby WE LOVE was born. Their own party night in one of the best clubs at the moment in the city of Amsterdam: Flex Bar. Mostly they invited artists who werer by many considered to be the hidden gems of the undergropund party scene , this gave the WE LOVE night an exclusive feeling, combined with the secure knowledge that all the talent was hand picked by The Walk and Rogerseventytwo themselves. And believe it or not, they know exactly what they're doing! BUT, since the end of 2008 WE LOVE... ended. The Walk and Rogerseventytwo started a new monthly clubnight with little brother and best friend Rikky D. AMSTEREO was born and continued where WE LOVE...ended. With resident djs Beesmunt Soundsystem and Jack de La, this party is always filled with good music. The guys from Beesmunt Soundsystem are their partners in crime again during the GENESIS party in Paradiso which they both organize. This evening has one rule: The sky is the limit.

Next to being a DJ duo, The Walk & Rogerseventytwo are also producers. When Rogerseventytwo first started, his first inspiration came from music produced in the seventys. This period in time became a fascination while he was working on tracks that grasp the new French sound in a creative and innovative way. These days The Walk & Rogerseventytwo are working together ( also with other musiscians ) and seperate on new music for the future.

The Walk not only stands behind the decks with Rogerseventytwo. Next to a DJ he also is a great student. After finishing his study Psychobiology ( Bachelor of Science), he is now studying medicine at the Free University of Amsterdam (adding the title Bachelor of Medicine to his belt).
