Last Friday night Wannabe a Star performed at Dutch radio station 3FM at GIel Beelen's show Freaknacht. Together with her live band she gave a hell of a show. Giel Beelen was so impressed that instead of letting them play 3 songs, he gave them the opportunity to play 2 more!

RIPTIDE UPDATE

Lots of great news regarding RipTide!

Let's start off with the music he made for Jagermeister. His music can be heard in a tv/cinema/interweb commercial and in a mockumentary the brand made.

For 3voor12 RipTide will be making dance-compilations every 2 weeks/month. He will select his favorite 10/15 tracks that he uses during his sets. They can be streamed on the Luisterpaal.

You can listen to his latest dj sets from Disco Total and Rauw.

On February the 20th his new EP will be released on BMKLTSCH RCRDS. This an EP he made together with Hidden Cat and will include remixes by Bart B More, Baskerville, Mike Mago & Savile.

As kind as he is, RipTide has a free giveaway for you. He made a 12" Edit of Empire of the Sun's "Walking On A Dream".

Last but not least, RipTIde will be producing a track for Krause!

VRIJDAG 3 FEBRUARI: RAUW AT BUNGALUP

ZATERDAG 11 FEBRUARI: RAUW AT TIVOLI

Rauw gaat vanaf februari het avontuur aan.

Op vrijdag 3 februari vindt Rauw plaats in het Business Centre van Centre Parks tijdens BungalUp. De eerste editie van dit nu al legendarische winterfestival is al maanden uitverkocht. Lees de avonturen van de gelukkigen die een kaartje hebben op het Rauwblog.

Rauw zal in Trouw de maanden februari, maart en april overslaan, in mei zijn we weer terug in de club aan de Wibautstraat met onder andere Gesaffelstein en Brodinski. Verwacht in de tussentijd geheime spannende zaken in Amsterdam. Tivoli blijft natuurlijk maandelijks de tweede zaterdag van de maand de tent op z’n kop blazen.

Op zaterdag 11 februari draait naast circusdirecteur Joost van Bellen de Engelse dj en producer Riton. Deze ene helft van Carte Blanche heeft in de zomer de hele wereld rond getourd en is na een stop weer volop als Riton aan het produceren en draaien. Verwacht super energieke muziek, de laatste innovatieve kwaliteitsbeukers en geheid vrolijk feest.

Live staat de nieuwe techno-electro sensatie Black Asteroid op het toneel. Black Asteroid is opgericht door Motorlid Bryan Black, die samenwerkt met onder andere Martin Gore van Depeche Mode en alle trucs van het muziek produceren leerde van Prince zelf. Black Asteroid is simpel maar vlijmscherp, lawaaierig en futuristisch. De nummers Engine 1 en Engine 2 waren de afgelopen zomer al klappers van jewelste. Van Dave Clarke en Chris Liebing tot Tommie Sunshine, Gesaffelstein en van Bellen, allen zijn ze groot Black Asteroid fan.

NEW LIVE DJ-SET OF JOOST VAN BELLEN AND RIPTIDE

Last weekend was another great Rauw edition in Trouw (Amsterdam) en Tivoli (Utrecht). Special guest on the bill was super star dj Erol Alkan! Host Joost van Bellen played before his set and RipTide had the honor to close after Erol Alkan in Trouw.

The Dutch dj's both recorded their dj-set of the evening and now you can listen to it!

ANTI FASHION PARTY #11

Amsterdam International Fashion Week is coming up. Star Studded Studios (Joost van Bellen & Sander Stenger) is a production company that creates original soundtracks for fashion shows en special events. They takes things a step further with creation the custom music for the show by immersing themselves completely in the designer's vision, thus creating a total concept with a unique combination of music, technology, and a genuine love of fashion This year they have made great soundtracks for great designers.

NEW ARTIST ON OUR ROSTER

We would like to welcome Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team (Teki Latex & DJ Orgasmic) to our artist roster! Teki Latex (known as co-founder of former label Institubes and part of hip-hop act TTC) and DJ Orgasmic (live DJ of Uffie) started a new French label: Sound Pellegrino. They have already released EP’s of Zombie Disco Squad, Renaissance Man, Havard Bass, Pare One, Gucci Vump, TWR72 and many more! The two public faces of the label unite to form Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team. Barkers is their exclusive agent for The Netherlands only.

Next week European’s most important conference and showcase festival will kick off: Eurosonic/Noorderslag. Saturday night the Noorderslag part will take place, which is the most important showcase festival for Dutch music. During this part of the festival a lot of new and famous Dutch artists perform. Our very own De Grote Vinnie, Donnie & Sjakie Show, Boemklatsch, Nobody Beats The Drum and Tom Trago (live) will all perform during this prestigious part of the festival.
