ALAN BRAXE & MOTOR JOIN BARKERS

ALAN BRAXE

Since 1997, we find Alan Braxe on titles as big as Music Sound Better With You (Stardust), Intro (in collaboration with Fred Falke),  but also on numerous remixes for artistes as varied as Bjork, Britney Spears, Annie, Kylie Minogue, Goldfrapp, Kelis, Jamiroquai or Justice.

After numerous years of studio work, Alan Braxe now performs as a DJ throughout the world: USA, Australia, Europe (IBIZA) and he is rediscovering the ambiance of clubs which made him fall in love with electronic music.

MOTOR

A good MOTOR track kills the dance-floor and works equally well in the live context.

As the title suggests, Motors new album Metal Machine is abrasive metallic music, combining tough techno beats and raw rock riffs, underscored by relentless mechanical grooves that spit blood. All ten new album tracks retain Motors trademark industrial/ rock elements previously showcased on albums Klunk and Unhuman, though this time round the emphasis is firmly on the dance-floor.

We wanted it to carry on the spirit of those first two records, but at the same time we had to break new ground and we knew after producing just a few rough demos that the new record was going to be seriously raw and off the wall, says the band, We wanted to get back into the clubs with a fresh sound.

Metal Machine is out now, as well as new single Death Rave, an acid techno monster of a track that rocks. Motor spent most of 2009 on tour with Depeche Mode playing to sold out 60000 capacity football stadiums. They also managed to remix Kanye West and a few others on days off.

With the new live show finely honed and perfected, MOTOR are taking the Metal Machine live show on the road in 2010.
