Barkers is responsible for several parties on different scales, a participation in events and festivals over the years. Barkers is founder of the Annual ADE Network Bash which became one of the ‘not to be missed’ network events of the Amsterdam Dance Event. At first they just invited their own network for a drink, but after a couple of successful years they came up with the bright idea to team up with Buma Cultuur, ID & T and the Good Guyz to bring every year different companies and their networks together. This resulted in 5 years of packed Amsterdam hotspot like Foam Photograpy Museum, De Appel, 11 and de Duif, and collaborations with companies as MTV, Vice, MySpace, Deux d’Amsterdam, Dance Department, Muziek Centrum Nederland, 3FM, and sponsors as Bacardi, Martini, Vrumona, Onitsuka Tiger just to name a few.
The infamous illegal underground parties such as Club Love at the Karel de Graaf Studio’s, Het Portiershuisje and Kikkenstein in ‘de Aflopende Zaak’ alias ‘De Bunker’ at the NDSM in collaboration with Meubel Stukken, made a well respected contribution to the underground Amsterdam nightlife. Barkers and Joost van Bellen’s company Meubel Stukken go hand in hand with several productions. Barkers involvement in the 10 Jaar Meubel Stukken festival and Valtifest was priorily artist handling.
