Barkers, founded in '95 is an Amsterdam based bookingagency, with DNA formed by the diversity of DJ’s and music performers who kindly bark at the world of music. The business is run by owners Kim Tuin & Judith van Unen and their bookers, who are well connected in the worldwide underground music scene. They are known to make business a pleasure and pleasure their business. Their diverse taste in music reflects in their roster. Barkers vision of working with an artist is all about supporting one’s qualities and passion for music. That’s why Barkers over the years labels loyalty, quality and trustworthiness towards artists and promoters. It’s their ability to have long-term relationships in the world of dancemusic that makes them beloved in different scenes. Born in a time where House music was ruling the scene throughout the globe,

by the time Barkers became a teenager they got inspired by all kinds of sounds. Next to the Detroit Techno, Hi-tech Soul and Chicago House they’ve been working with over the years, they have grown into Electro, Fidget, Pop, Rock, Broken Beat, DubStep and Disco. By taking on the diversity of sounds they pushed the boundaries and made a change. They still like to play in the fields of fresh upcoming music and if they think the can sell it, they surely will!

To broaden their horizon even more, they started working with fashion related events. Besides all this, Barkers is responsible for several parties on different scales, and have participated in events and festivals over the years. Barkers is the founder of the Annual ADE Network Bash which has become one of the ‘not to be missed’ network events of the Amsterdam Dance Event. Infamous illegal underground parties such as Club Love, Het Portiershuisje and Kikkenstein, or the 10 Jaar Meubelstukken festival, Valtifest, and parties like Rauw Berlin, are just a few events that Barkers was involved in. They have also been collaborating on projects like the Matthaus Passion the Remix and Kim Tuin is part of the first Night Mayor team de Nachtwacht. Now Barkers started the Barkers Bar which will, without a doubt, catch your eye & ear very soon! Driven by enthusiasm and a good mood, Barkers will continue their work just because they love it.
